About 7% of waste was destroyed in France in 2019, according to the Ministry of Ecological Transformation. unsold surpluses in 12 major non-food sectors, equivalent to approximately €300 million. So the situation with the waste of resources in this country is not bad, but it can always be better. Therefore, from January 1 last year, Art. 45 of the Law on Waste Prevention and the Circular Economy. It provides for a ban on the destruction of unsold non-food products for manufacturers and distributors.
