Mitsubishi Motors will unveil the Mitsubishi XRT Concept, a concept version of the all-new L200/Triton pickup, scheduled for release in fiscal 2023. The presentation will take place at the International Motor Show in Bangkok.

The L200/Triton (named differently in different markets) is Mitsubishi Motors’ best-selling model manufactured at the Laem Chabang plant in Thailand and the company’s global strategic product, exported to around 150 countries. After the car’s first complete facelift in about nine years, the all-new L200/Triton will be the sixth generation of this midsize Mitsubishi pickup. After launching in Thailand in FY 2023, it will be launched in subsequent markets in the ASEAN region, Oceania and other global markets.

Massive rally silhouette

A concept version of the all-new L200/Triton, the Mitsubishi XRT Concept features a new front end styling and a solid hood that continues to the sides. In addition, the concept car received front and rear fenders with well-defined wheel arches and off-road tires.

The body is adorned with volcanic-inspired camouflage graphics, while the sides are adorned with Ralliart’s characteristic 10-line graphic.

The beginning of a sports career

At the 2023 Asia Cross Country Rally, the Mitsubishi Ralliart team, with technical support from Mitsubishi Motors, plans to enter the competition using a prototype off-road version of the all-new L200/Triton (Group T1 spec) with the goal of maximizing a second consecutive victory in this rally.

More information about the event and the launch can be found on the Mitsubishi XRT Concept website.
